Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes
Begin with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca before departing for Rabat. In the capital, explore the Royal Palace, the Chellah ruins, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower. Then continue to Meknes for dinner at a restaurant overlooking Bab El Mansour, followed by overnight at a local hotel.

Day 2: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast, tour Meknes including Bab El Mansour, the Jewish Quarter, the Royal Granaries, and city ramparts. Continue to Volubilis to visit the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss mausoleum before heading to Fes for the night.

Day 3: Exploring Fes – Guided City Tour
Explore Morocco’s oldest city, starting with the Royal Palace gates and the historic Mellah (Jewish quarter). Visit Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, Attarine Museum, and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, visit local artisan cooperatives and enjoy panoramic views of the medina.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga
Depart Fes and travel through the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary apes. Continue past Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley, with a stop in Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga for an overnight stay at a local hotel.

Day 5: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Erg Chebbi
Spend the day exploring the desert. Visit the Gnawa musicians in Khamlia and enjoy a traditional Berber pizza in Rissani. In the afternoon, take a camel trek to watch the sunset over the dunes, then enjoy dinner, music, and stargazing at your desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
After sunrise in the dunes and breakfast, drive through Rissani and Tinghir to reach the dramatic Todra Gorges. After lunch, continue to the Dades Valley, stopping to admire the rock formations known as “Monkey Toes.” Overnight in a local guesthouse.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Travel along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping in Kalaat Mgouna, famous for its roses. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach Marrakech.

Day 8 & 9: Marrakech – Guided City Tour
Enjoy a guided exploration of Marrakech, visiting the Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia Mosque, colorful souks, palaces, and museums. Also explore Gueliz, Menara Gardens, and Majorelle Garden. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 10 & 11: Marrakech – Essaouira

Drive from Marrakech to the Atlantic coast and arrive in Essaouira by afternoon. Check in to your riad, watch the sunset from the city walls, and enjoy a fresh fish dinner. The next day, explore the charming medina of Mogador, a mix of Portuguese heritage and seaside beauty. Spend both nights in a local riad.

Day 12: Essaouira – Marrakech or Casablanca
After breakfast, enjoy some free time before departing to either Marrakech or Casablanca. Arrive in the evening, concluding your 12-day cultural, coastal, and desert journey through Morocco.
